A hi-tech hive to monitor the health of bees in Gallura
A biomonitoring hive installed in the Loiri Porto San Paolo area, in Gallura, equipped with 3Bee Hive-Tech technology which, applied to a hive, will allow valuable biometric information on the bee colony to be collected and the quality of the surrounding environment to be analysed.
It is the fulcrum of the Dots Oasis project, promoted by Bibanca spa which has decided to commit itself to the protection of pollinating insects through the use of advanced technology capable of protecting biodiversity.
Gavino Pala, a beekeeper and member of the national register of honey tasters, knows something about this. He and his partner started the Apicoltura Pala company in Loiri Porto San Paolo in 2000. His work experience in recent times reflects the crisis that the world of beekeeping is going through and in particular that of Gallura and Sardinia.
