Abbamele

6,00

Honey pollen and orange peel decoction
Packaging: 250 g glass jar

Description

The abbamele is one of the oldest gastronomic products of the rural culture of Sardinia.

It is a derivative of honey whose traditional production methods follow different stages of processing. The products that can be purchased through large-scale distribution, but above all through direct contact with the producers, have so far been defined on the labels as “abbamele” and “abbatu”[1], i.e. using mainly terms in the Sardinian language[2] which unequivocally underline the origin, or in the Italianized “honey decoction or honey and pollen” or “sapa di honey”.
